When we sell birds to our customers we always tell them to give us a call if the have any questions. It is sometimes hard for a first time bird owner to retain all the information we can give to them in a phone conversation. John and I have found a book that we have started recommending to our customers. It is called Guide to a well-behaved parrot by Mattie Sue Athan. We both read the book and found that we agree with much of the techniques she recommends in her book. It give the new owner some idea of how to interact with a parrot and how to avoid and correct some negative behaviors.
